Tom Catalano is an award-winning author and presenter. His novels and short stories range from urban science fiction and psychological suspense to feel-good stories of ordinary folks in peculiar situations. They almost always have a surprise ending.
His rhyming poems are often humorous, taking a lighthearted look at everyday events that everyone can relate to – adults and children alike. His style has often been compared to that of Shel Silverstein. His poems have been published in newspapers and magazines across North America.
While many authors stay within one genre, Tom likes to write about a lot of different things for a lot of different readers. He has books for adults, teens, and children. Novels, short stories, non-fiction anecdotes, funny poems, faith-inspiring poetry, witty quotes, Christmas books, and more. He likes to say that he has a book for every member of the family!
Tom's books are sold worldwide. He also gives poetry presentations at schools, clubs, churches, libraries, bookstores, and community events.
"Writing and creating isn't something I like to do," Tom said. "It's something I have to do! It's my life."
"Writing poetry is fun! Reading it should be fun too. I wish I had a dollar for every time I've heard someone say that they didn't like poetry. When I share my poetry with them they smile and say, 'But I like your poetry.'"
